    What do you do when you need to connect resellers, distributors and end customers in order to deliver a simple, easy to use software licensing portal? If you're Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) you partner with Stellar for the customer engagement strategy, user experience, visual design and front- and back-end engineering. This complex engagement involved more than just UX, design and tech savvy. It also required coordinating and integrating the efforts of 45 people distributed across North America, Europe and Asia and integrating our new solutions architecture with a half-dozen different HPE legacy systems. In laymen's terms, that means it was heavy on the cat-herding and about as challenging as Chinese algebra. The HPE customer portal was launched successfully and is currently available to HPE customers worldwide. A recent customer survey shared by HPE indicated that customers who state they are "satisfied to very satisfied" with licensing support has gone from 24% to 56% in less than six months. We love improvements, especially when the gains are measured in double digits!

    How do you create a value-added service for channel/retail partners and resellers while improving the collection of actionable customer insights? This was the challenge that Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) presented Stellar with. Our long-term partnership with HPE has allowed Stellar to gain their trust and function as a true extension of HPE's internal team. This complex project involved coordinating an international project team, developing a user experience that supported HPE's over-arching partner engagement strategy and delivering a design that met the company's comprehensive brand and identity guidelines. The initial roll-out was a demo that was used to collect feedback from channel/retail partners and resellers. Smart. The feedback was then rolled into an updated version of the web-based application and was launched as a limited release Pilot Program to collect additional feedback for optimization before a general launch later this year. Even smarter.

    How important is a super clean user experience and visual design you ask? Well, it was the most important consideration when we engaged with the Torrance-based brand, Micronova. Our Southbay neighbor is a recognized leader in the manufacture and supply of cleaning products for the most demanding environments and applications. From semiconductor clean rooms in wafer fab facilities to ultra-sterile hospital settings, Micronova has everything you need to tackle the most demanding cleaning needs. We began their site redesign by working closely with Micronova stakeholders to learn everything we could about their products, brand and customers. Next, we converted this knowledge into a streamlined and simple, yet powerful, user experience that immediately connected customers with the most relevant products and accessories to meet the unique cleaning needs of their particular industry or application. Finally, we layered on a super clean visual design that brought the brand and its products to life in a new way and wrapped all of that in a technology solution that delivered a much-improved digital product catalog and content management system.

    If you could be either Clark Kent or Superman, which person would you chose to be? We figure most people would pick Superman. More fun that way. When Paychex tapped Stellar to help with the redesign of their 401(k)/retirement services site we did some research and interviewed key stakeholders as well as financial advisors. The findings were interesting. To the market in general, Paychex looked like Clark Kent. But if you dig a little deeper and look at the volume of business and share of the market Paychex has you'll find they're actually more like Superman. So our UX, design and tech teams set out to help change that perception. We created a simple, streamlined layout that delivered key information designed to improve conversion and acquisition and a visual design that made Paychex stand-out in a cluttered financial services industry.     How do you define digital security? If you're a business or a government delivering digital services to billions of customers and constituents, chances are good your definition is a single word—Gemalto. When it comes to digital security solutions, Gemalto is a recognized world leader. Stellar has partnered with Gemalto on a range of projects over the years and our most recent success story involved the creation of a customized portal designed to deliver safe, secure and easy-to-use features that enhance the Gemalto customer experience. While software entitlement and licensing may not be a sexy subject for your average Joe, it's a mission-critical operation for large, enterprise level customers who often have to manage those assets across an organization with hundreds, if not thousands of employees. So, while converting a complex and time-intensive operational issue into a streamlined and efficient digital process may not be super sexy, we still think it's pretty hot.

    How do you launch a brick and mortar store in NYC's fashionable SOHO district and time that grand opening with the roll-out of a robust, feature rich, visually engaging web-based storefront and ecommerce system? This is the kind of challenge that the Stellar team lives for. Working with Zazen Bear's stakeholders—who were all based in South Korea (just to keep things even more interesting)—Stellar developed UX, branding/identity and visual design solutions along with a responsive front-end, back-end and ecommerce system architecture that allowed Zazen Bear to launch its newly created brand online, immediately start selling merchandise online and time this offering with the opening of its first U.S. store in New York City. It also put a little Zen into us. Life is a river. And we are but a leaf. A super-designing, high-quality coding, premium-content delivering ninja leaf. Yeah.

Sientra's relationship with board-certified Plastic Surgeons was critical to the success of the company's overall marketing and sales strategy.     How do you take complicated, data-intensive information and simplify it so it can be presented quickly and effectively to busy, time-pressed surgeons? First, you choose the right device. An iPad makes an ideal presentation platform for an in-office conversation between a sales rep and a surgeon. Next, you maximize the story-telling opportunities an iPad presents. And then you create a flexible structure and frame it with a clean, compelling visual design. And just to add a little secret sauce we created functionality that allowed the sales rep to input key information and data about the surgeon's practice to get a customized presentation that was ready to roll whenever the opportunity arises.     Can we improve customer conversion and engagement and deliver a "local" feel to an international brand that's served billions? You bet your McNuggets we can! The New York Tri-State area is McDonald's largest region in terms of number of franchises. Our responsive, content-rich solution connected local fans and customers with both national and local McDonald's news, offers and deals. Throwback content, featuring videos that delivered ads and promotions from years past proved especially popular. Targeted and focused coupons encouraged visitors to get away from their screens and into a local McDonald franchise and worked as a simple name-capture and remarketing platform. Happy clients and happy customers—just the way we like it!

    You think you know everything the L.A. County Fair (LACF) has to offer? If you're like most Los Angelinos, the answer was probably yes. And that was a problem LACF wanted to address. Over the last several years the fair has evolved into a higher-end, multi-faceted event that reflects the unique diversity and culture of our Los Angeles community. Stellar worked with LACF stakeholders to bring that new look to life online and appeal to a whole new set of potential visitors. Enhanced content and features that made getting to and from the fair easier; more effective event information that made planning your day simpler; and a vibrant new brand expression that made you think about the L.A. County Fair in a whole new way. Who knew that bacon-on-a-stick could be so much fun?

With an IPO looming just over the horizon, Coupons Inc. approached us with an interesting series of challenges. Redesign the corporate website to improve the overall user experience. Update the design of the website to modernize the brand expression and visual vocabulary. Reorganize content and features to improve customer conversion and acquisition. Develop a responsive design that delivers a unified online experience across wired web, tablet and mobile platforms. And get it all done in 6 weeks! We scrambled the jets and sent a project team to Coupons.com Inc.'s global HQ in Mountain View, CA to conduct meetings with the company's key stakeholders and get things started immediately. Over the course of the next 5 weeks we defined, designed and delivered an entirely new digital experience. It was the Mr. Todd's Wild Ride of projects and it left us with one thought—"Let's do it again!"

    TricorBraun Branding, Site Redesign and Digital Product Catalog Optimization

So many great combinations to choose from but when it comes to integrating digital and traditional media, TricorBraun's go-to combination is Brand 33 and Stellar. Our partnership with Brand 33 goes back several years and the combined inter-agency team has been working with TricorBraun for almost as long. Brand 33 brought their expertise with traditional branding and media into play while Stellar added the UX and technical ingredients to this winning recipe. The result was a vastly improved digital brand expression, a more effective customer experience online and an optimized technical architecture. TricorBraun is the leader in the rigid packaging space and has been for several decades. While it may be hard to tell one plastic bottle from another, this site made it very easy to see why TricorBraun is at the head of its industry pack.

    Do you dream big? MyLife's CEO, Jeff Tinsley is a guy who likes to dream big too. He and his team had a simple vision—radically change the way people interact with email, social, text and chat by integrating and prioritizing all of those communication streams in a single, comprehensive app called MessageHub. MyLife tapped the Stellar team to design, develop and deploy the product marketing website that would convey the MessageHub value proposition to millions of consumers. Starting with key stakeholder interviews, we rapidly developed a deep understanding of the MessageHub business, brand and marketing objectives. Next, we worked closely with the MessageHub product development team to clearly define and prioritize the consumer messaging the marketing site would need to deliver. With the marketing platform defined, Stellar's UX and design teams developed the information architecture and creative execution that brought the MessageHub brand to life online. Finally, our tech team integrated the front- and back-end solutions to deploy, test and launch the marketing site. Sometimes dreams do come true.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is where the best of the best card sharks compete for tens of thousands of dollars at every event. For poker fans worldwide, these events are like the Superbowl—highly anticipated and heavily watched. WPT's marching orders to Stellar's UX and Creative teams were simple—put the fans right in the middle of the action, create a deeper connection between them and the players and make all of that poker goodness easier to access online. After working with the poker experts at WPT, Stellar created a simple, streamlined user experience and a clean, uncluttered design that put the focus right where it needed to be—on the players and on the action. So pull up a chair, have a seat at the table and keep an eye on your chips. Oh. And no dogs allowed.

    L.A. Works Rewards Mobile App

    Can we see a show of hands—who thinks recruiting, organizing and empowering thousands of volunteers every year is a simple undertaking? No hands in the air. While that daunting task may not be simple, L.A. Works took a step towards making it both easier to manage and more rewarding for volunteers when they partnered with Stellar to create a mobile app. The app connects community members with local volunteer opportunities to simplify recruiting volunteers and organizing events. But we didn't stop there and added a unique and rewarding twist. The app connects volunteers with rewards from L.A. Works' civic and business partners. Volunteers can access rewards like Lakers tickets or get a free yoga session. Spending a day helping your community is that much easier when you can start the day right with a free cup of coffee, take a mid-day break for a free hot dog or enjoy a free cupcake or ice cream as a treat after a day of service, all via one, easy-to-use mobile application. This connection also allows L.A. Works to stay in contact with its network of volunteers and keep them informed about new and up-coming community service events. It's the app that keeps on giving.

That’s why when the Stellar team engaged with San Francisco-based Accelerate Sports Performance (ASP) we immediately got to work crafting the right blend of branding, creative, user experience and technology. Our goal was to add some serious muscle to ASP’s digital marketing efforts. Starting with a new logo and identity system, we created an updated brand expression that included high-quality, dynamic photo-imagery designed to bring ASP’s value proposition to life. We wove this new brand expression into a redesigned version of their site that featured a fully responsive design and an optimized user experience that enabled ASP to engage with customers in new, more effective ways. We extended this optimized experience, content and marketing strategy to key social platforms and expanded ASP’s content inventory to include videos, a blog and interviews with ASP certified trainers.
